With its catchy, melodic hook, driving beat, and classic hip hop party vibe, “Anything” was one of the select songs was chosen for Episode 2 of the hit show’s new season as a highlight to a pool party scene.
The placement was facilitated by one of Brave New World’s licensing partners, Motherwest, headed by Co-founder, Charles Newman. The company has overseen multiple placements of Selah’s music, including most recently, his song “Rejection (The Cafe Noir Remix)” as the theme song for Tommy Hilfiger’s New Legacy web series.
“When we have to dig back in time for era specific music, it’s great we have Shyan’s tracks from early in his career to pull from,” says Charles.
“There’s nothing like seeing something from your archives and catalogue get a chance at new life,” says Shyan. “This is what makes this part of the music business so special. I’m excited and thankful for the Cruel Summer music supervisory team and my partner Charles Newman and his team at Motherwest for making this happen.”
